Lessons learned

  1. When you have a new baby, your solid sleeper toddler, who previously slept until 7am every morning, can suddenly start waking up, raring to go at 5 am
  2. When it is time to "Spring Forward" and you think that this will be a great opportunity to get your over tired toddler back on a strictly from 7:00-7:30 bedtime routine, think again.
  3. When you rationalize that at least when she wakes up at 5 am the next morning, the clock will say 6 am so it won't be as bad, don't count on it. Turns out she will still wake up at 5...which feels like 4 am to your grown up body.
In summary, turns out you can't rely on your kids sleeping until they hit those blissful teen years and want to sleep until 2pm.

At which point I am assuming their previous sleeping patterns will have beaten your own desire to sleep in out of you, so yeah.

Good luck.

Evelyn Rae is 20 months old today, Liam is 1 month old

...and yeah. Girlfriend is starting bedtime routine super early tonight... After we hit the park and run her till she can barely keep her eyes open.
